Book Review: 奇奇系列 – Ricky Rabbit Book Series by Guido van Genechten

Age: 3+ assisted, 5+ independent

This is the collection by Guido van Genechten. It’s a series of cute books that was translated. I found five and I’m not sure if there are more. I showed the five books in the video. Stories are cute and healthy and always something that the rabbit Ricky overcomes. First book I went over is about Ricky building a tent and the father repeatedly asking if Ricky will be scared in a tent at night by himself. Ricky always answers no. This is true until Ricky’s flashlight runs out of batteries and then gets scared of all the noises of the night and then to finally see a huge shadow over his tent and run out only to find it was his parents outside. The three then sleeps together in the tent happily ever after. You get the gist. All happy fun loving appropriate for that 3 year old bedtime story. There is one book that’s from a different publisher and same author (English version is called Flop Ear). I found this was one of his earlier works so that the illustrations are a bit more unrefined. Still charming nonetheless. Links to books.com.tw is below:
